OD4300 Electric Coil Inserter

The OD4300 Plastic coil inserter module will bind books up to 1-1/8” (28.6mm) thick using coil diameter up to 1¼” (30mm). The OD4300 provides electric coil inserting and features our patented Lexan Guide for easier insertion of all coils, particularly in books 9/16" thick and up. The unit will handle coil lengths from 6" to 36", providing you with more flexibility for large jobs and calendars. The unit attaches to the right side of the Combo binding station or OD4000/4800 using two wing nuts for easy installation.

Coil binding machines are sometimes referred to as spiral binding machines, and are the most popular types of bookbinding. Companies are upgrading to coil binding machines from their old comb binding machines. Coil is more secure, and allows books to lay flat for easier reading and copying. Coil comes in three different sizes: 4:1, 5:1 and, 6mm. with 4:1 being the most popular and is ideal for all size booklets. 5:1 is ideal for calendars and small booklets.
